Often the Electronic Actuator fails prematurely and all is needed is a New Holset Actuator.
If you doubt your VGT system is failing on your Holset turbo you can bring in your truck to a Dealership or Shop and have them test the actuator with the proper scanning device.
Most of the times you can CAREFULLY remove the actuator from the turbo and manually move the arm with the gears. If the arm will not move with ease then it is safe to say that there is internal damage. If the arm moves easily then most likely it is the actuator at fault.
We can supply you with a New actuator for you to install but it WILL NEED TO BE CALIBRATED with a Snap On scanner or other device. Driving without calibration will cause proper damage to actuator or the turbo.
There is a 200$ core charge which is included in the price which we will refund you upon receiving your old unit.
This is the New style actuator that bolts on all Holset turbochargers with the VGT system. New gasket included with new studs.
