Turbocharger Core Return & Refund Policy

1) Definition & Purpose (What is a Core Charge?)

This policy defines the conditions under which you can get back your core deposit after purchasing a new or remanufactured unit.

      A core charge is a refundable deposit added to the price of a new or remanufactured turbocharger to encourage the return of the old unit (the “core”). This encourages the return of your old turbocharger (“the core”), which is required for remanufacturing. To receive the refund, the old turbocharger must be returned in acceptable condition.

2) Return Window

• Cores must be returned within 60 calendar days from the date the replacement product was delivered to you. 

• Returns outside this window may result in partial or no credit depending on condition and business needs at our discretion.

3) Core Condition Requirements:

To qualify for refund or partial credit, returned cores must: 

• Be the same make, model, and OEM part number as the purchased turbocharger. Aftermarket cores are not accepted (unless pre-approved). 

• Be complete & (or at least mostly) intact, including all housings, wheels, and actuators (if applicable). 

• Be in rebuildable condition: NO cracks, fire damage, water damage, severe corrosion, broken/missing housings, damaged/stripped threads, broken studs, modifications or deformities caused by improper removal. 

• Not have been previously disassembled or tampered with. 

• Be properly drained of oil and fluids before shipment.

4) Shipping & Packaging  

• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise stated at time of sale. 

• Use sturdy packaging with sufficient padding to prevent transit damage. 

• Clearly mark the package as 'CORE RETURN' and include our “Core Return Form” provided by our customer service team.

• Return to the address listed at the bottom of the Core Return Form.

• TPC does not assume any responsibilities for any damages incurred while shipping.

  • Canadian Return Shipping

    • Orders with a core charge will be shipped with a return label to use at your discretion for a cost listed clearly on the label. The cost will be deducted from the core refund. You may also use your own courier at your discretion. 
      

  •  USA Return Shipping

    • Cores being shipped back to Canada must follow our “US to Canada Shipping Instructions” listed on our website.

    • Commodity listed as Automotive Turbocharger Core

    • Value of core must NOT be more than the Core Charge

    • Use HS code 8414.80.10.00

    • Customers can also reach out to TPC about our return services and fees.

5) Inspection & Credit Processing 

• Upon receipt, cores will be inspected to verify eligibility. 

• Refunds are typically processed within 10‒15 business days of inspection. 

• Refunds are applied to the original payment method, unless store credit is requested. 

• If core condition does not meet requirements, we may:

• Approve partial credit based on recoverable components, or

• Reject the return entirely (with the option to ship the core back at the customer’s expense).

6) Additional Notes

• This policy applies to purchases and returns within the United States and   Canada only. 

• Returns outside these regions may be subject to different requirements and costs.

• Cores must be shipped to the address provided on the “Core Return Form”
