TPC now offers the popular IS38 turbo in a ball bearing version.
Not only have we removed the poor original IHI bearing system and replaced it with a Garrett style bearing system but we have also increased the shaft diameter to safely handle higher boost pressures throughout the powerband.
The compressor and turbine wheels remain OEM spec which means it will work with any OTS (off the shelf) tunes or OEM ECU's.
It was brought to our attention that some performance tuners kept the boost down up top to help keep the turbos in one piece. Now that worry can be a thing of the past and the user can yield more boost reliably which in turns means more power in the long term.
This is an all new turbo so no core is required.
